Using Facebook Groups To Get More Traffic To Your Blog

Facebook Groups can be an amazing resource for new bloggers. There are excellent blogger support groups that’ll allow you to ask questions, get expert tips, and share wins.

But did you know that there are some Facebook groups that can help you get more traffic back to your blog? Round up request groups, blog hop groups, link party groups, and guest post groups are all types of groups where you can promote your content without being spammy.

In this post, I’ll share how each type of group works. I’ve also compiled a huge list of ______ groups you can download and save for whenever you need it.

How To Use Facebook Groups To Get More Traffic

Using Facebook groups is one of the easiest ways to get more traffic to your blog. When searching for groups, look for groups that are active and have had at least 10 posts in the last 30 days.

Groups that are open to the public are often not very high quality as they tend to attract spammers. Any group where a lot of people seem to be only dropping links to their blog posts and leaving, without any other type of interaction, will not be very useful.

The best groups are the ones that do have rules for people to follow, as it helps keep things organized and functioning for everyone.

You can do your part to make the groups you’re in even better by only posting comments that add value and by interacting regularly in the group.

Round Up Request Groups

A round up request group is a type of group where people will make requests for posts to link to, based on a specific theme.

For example, a food blogger might be looking for “Kid friendly gluten free snacks.” Anyone else who has a post that falls under this theme is welcome to comment with a link to their relevant post.

Usually, by sharing a link to your post, you grant permission for the round up requester to use an image from your post in their round up.

Blog Hop & Link Party Groups

Blog hops and link parties are when groups of bloggers add links to each other’s posts on their own posts. It gives readers a reason to “hop” from one blog to the next, thereby increasing your traffic.

Link parties and blog hops can really help your SEO by increasing the number of external backlinks you have, which will also help get more traffic to your blog.

Blog hops are also a fun way to integrate yourself with other bloggers within your niche. Usually all the bloggers participating in a blog hop or link party will do their bit to help promote each other’s posts in Pinterest and Facebook.

So as you can imagine, participating in these link ups can potentially bring a huge boost to your traffic!

Guest Post Groups

Guest posting is another tactic bloggers use to get more quality backlinks to their sites. It basically involves writing a post that you allow someone else to post on their blog. In return, you get a link back to your blog.

In many cases, with sites that receive very high traffic and high search engine rankings, you’ll have to pay a fee in order to do a guest post.

For new bloggers who want to keep costs as low as possible, paying fees for guest posts isn’t an option. This is where guest post Facebook groups come handy.
