TikTok is all the rage these days. But how can you use it to make money? Do you want to know how to go viral on TikTok? In this post I’ll share some of the top tips for TikTok to help you get likes, followers, and action.
Use Trending Sounds
You can browse the sounds in TikTok to see which ones are trending. But, I always forget to do this before I start working on a TikTok, so sometimes I use an app instead. The TrendTok app lets you see which sounds are going viral.
You can also add a trending sound to a video where you’re talking. Just put the original audio of your video to 100 and set the song to about 5. That way people will still be able to hear you speak clearly, but the TikTok algorithm will push your video out to more people because it has the trending sound.
Use Trending Tags
Trending tags can give you the same benefit as trending sounds. Since TikTok wants people staying on their app for as long as possible (so they can show more ads and collect more thorough data on their users) they will promote TTs containing trending tags more than ones that don’t.
Create Shareable Content
Things that are:
- relatable
- motivating
- funny
- useful
- surprising
- cute
Always good to include a call to action in your content to encourage others to share it. For example, you an say, “tag a friend this reminds you of” or “tag your friends who need to read this”
Use A Fast-Paced Video
The faster things happen in your video, the more quickly people will get hooked into watching it.
Use a short video
A shorter video will start looping more quickly than a longer one, which’ll help increase your engagement on TikTok.
Use a Controversial Subject
Everyone has their own opinion. Show yours on something controversial and watch as people who agree or disagree start sharing their perspective. You might need a thicker skin for something like this, since it’s usually people who disagree with you who will be compelled to comment.
Ask People To Follow
Actually saying things like “be sure to follow me for more content like this” can help encourage people to follow you if they like your stuff.
Hop On Trends Immediately
If you see a trend on TikTok, try to make something that takes advantage of that trend as soon as you can. Trending TikTok ideas are already proven to be successful, so you can in a sense “ride on the coattails” of the trend and you’ll probably get more views because of it.
Batch Create TikToks in Advance
Instead of worrying every day about what you can post on TikTok, choose one day a week to batch film a bunch of videos at once. That way you can just pull them up and publish them later without spending too much time.
Make enough TikToks so you have at least two per day every week.
Remake Your Viral Videos
Often times what works well once works well again and again on TikTok. If you already had some videos go viral or even mini viral, try re-making them a different way and see how they do.
